Mango Matcha Latte

Mango Matcha Latte - Clearspring

Flavour your matcha latte with some homemade fresh or frozen mango puree. Mango has a really nice sweet taste which works really well with matcha. 

Ingredients

To make the mango puree

  • 1 fresh mango - cut to small pieces or 1 cup frozen mango chunks
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup - optional

Tools

  • Matcha bowl - a flat bottom bowl
  • bamboo whisk
  • bamboo spoon or 1 tsp spoon

Method

  1. Soak the bamboo whisk in warm water to soften the whisk area. Add 1tsp/ 2 chashaku Japanese bamboo spoon amount of Clearspring organic premium grade matcha to the matcha bowl. Pour 60ml warm water around 80 degrees. Take the soaked whisk and whisk in an M or W movement in the matcha bowl until the powder is blended and frothy.
  2. place the mango puree at the bottom of the serving glass. Place ice on top and pour cold plant milk of choice.
  3. Slowly pour the whisked matcha over the ice to create the layer of matcha in the glass. stir and enjoy in the sunshine. 

To make the mango puree - add fresh or frozen mango and maple syrup (optional for extra sweetness) into a blender and blend until smooth. Save the rest for another time.
