    What are Seaveg Crispies?

Clearspring Organic Seaveg Crispies are a deliciously moreish seaweed snack, roasting our organic nori for just a few seconds adds a distinct crispiness to that unique umami flavour of the sea. A light dusting of sea salt then turns this popular sea vegetable into a convenient and tasty on-the-go snack for your family. Equally great for garnishing your ramen bowls, with rice, or simply sprinkling over salads.

BOOM Best Organic Snack 2023 Logo

    BOOM Awards Best Organic Snack

We're delighted to announce our Seaveg Crispies won Best Organic Snack at the 2023 Best of Organic Market (BOOM) Awards. The judges said they are "Delicate with perfectly balanced umami flavours".

    How is it made?

To grow our sustainable and organic seaweed, nori spores are carefully planted onto nets made of woven rope and suspended into calm, shallow bays. The height of each net is carefully fixed so that it remains above the water level during low tide, giving the growing nori maximum sunlight, and below the water level so that the plants receive a regular washing, at high tide.

The delicate nori plants will grow until they cover the entire net. When they are ready to be harvested, they are brought ashore, where they are thoroughly cleaned.

The nori is then ready to be pressed into a thin sheet, which is cut into smaller portions – just like you would expect to see when you buy a packet of nori to make sushi at home. The nori sheets are finally seasoned with sunflower oil and unrefined sea salt, before being toasted and cut into a delicious bit-sized crispy snack.

    No Plastic Tray

    4.5 Million Plastic Trays Saved*

We at Clearspring have been hard at work with our producer to improve the packaging of your snacks. As a start, we have listened to your feedback and finally managed to remove the plastic tray from the individual packs. We have saved 4.5M trays which is equivalent to 17.5 tonnes of plastic. As an extra step, this multipack outer bag has also changed to a recyclable paper-based material.

    Planet Friendly

We use only organic certified nori for our Seaveg Crispies™, which are grown in the luscious clear water off the coast of Korea. This is important to us because you can be assured that the natural environment within those waters is protected.

These are the best snacks ever! Tasty, Vegan, Organic and they give Iodine. But the best thing is their taste. They’re always delivered on time, no fuss, no problems. 5 Star product and service. Thank-you

Delicious and good for health

I buy these crisps regularly and can say they've always high quality and very good taste. As well as sunflower oil I buy in the Company. Do advise both of them.

Try them

These are just the best tasting sea veg crispies I’ve ever tried. If you’ve never tried them give them a go! Delivery is always fast and reliable. The only problem is if you don’t order enough you’ll run out before your next order arrives, because they’re so good!

I love the seaveg crispies!

Such a nut and wholesome flavour! Perfect if you want a low calorie healthy snack. Great sprinkled on steamed veg and in stews.

Seaweed?

Knowing as I did that one of our guests had lived in Japan for a long time I took them on an opera picnic. We all loved them,
