Elevated Avocado Toast with Furikake or Shichimi
A simple classic, reimagined with bold Japanese flavours. Charred sourdough is topped with creamy avocado, a drizzle of Clearspring Tamari for deep umami, and finished with your choice of Clearspring Furikake for savoury crunch or Shichimi for gentle heat. Minimal ingredients, maximum flavour.

Ingredients
- 2 thick slices sourdough bread
- 1 ripe avocado

2 tsp Clearspring Organic Japanese Yaemon Tamari Soya Sauce
- 2 tsp Clearspring Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1 to 2 tsp Clearspring Organic Furikake Sprinkle
- 1 to 2 tsp Organic Shichimi Togarashi - Seven Spice Blend
- a squeeze of lemon juice
- a pinch of Clearspring Traditional Unrefined Sea Salt
Method
- Brush olive oil on the sliced sourdough and grill over medium heat on cast iron pan until charred.Â
- Slice the avocado and arrange over the warm toast.
- Drizzle with tamari and a little lemon juice, if using.
- Finish with 1 to 2 tsp Furikake for savoury depth or Shichimi for a warming heat. Serve immediately.
