Clearspring Amazake - Sweet Grains Dessert is made using time-honoured production processes and just 3 simple organic ingredients - water, whole grains and a pinch of salt. These undergo true alchemy to produce this thick, creamy, dairy-free traditional Japanese dessert. Literally translated as “sweet sake” a koji culture converts the carbohydrates from the whole grains into simple sugars giving rise to the naturally sweet flavour of amazake.

In Japan Amazake (sometimes spelt Amasake), is normally consumed as a drink where it is diluted with hot water, sieved and drunk as a comforting winter warmer. However, it is very versatile and can also be used to add texture and protein to your favourite fruit smoothie, natural sweetness to pancakes and muffins or as a batter to make dairy-free French Toast.

Heavenly

One of my favourite things. Smooth, creamy, caramel yet vegan and sugar free. Full of goodness. Lovely on its own or on top of a vegan brownie!

All fine ...

Hello Paul:
Any foods that are now raw, you should take digestive enzymes with and this includes the fruit puree and Amazake. For bread, you want to eat only sprouted bread

Millet Amazake

Of the three, rice, oat and millet Amazake, millet is my favourite. Absolutely delicious. The oat one is a bit thick and sticky, as oats are, and the rice one is light and delicious, but the millet Amazake is Heaven.
