Tasty but too mushy

I've been on the lookout for baked beans without tons of sugar. Clear Spring's baked beans taste nice however I have found them overcooked and too mushy for my taste.

The best baked beans I have tried!

Without doubt, the best I have tried. Great flavour - and without the oil and sugar you usually see with other brands.

The price is reasonable too. )

Perfect baked beans

Full flavoured with no added sugar!

The Flavour's Great, though a Bit too Salty

I wanted to give these beans 4.5 stars ideally. It is so good to be able to purchase baked beans without the sweetening. The majority of other brands tend to be nearly 5% sugar (or its sweetness equivalent). But surely there's no need for the salt (sodium chloride) content to be as high as 0.77% as here? Or does the food industry always have to add these cheap extra ingredients (sweetener or salt) in a mistaken effort to produce "flavour"?
However, it's not just a queston of flavour. It's a health issue. Anyone with a diabetic condition needs to be wary of sugary baked beans; though luckily Clearspring does not come into that category. But anyone with high blood pressure needs also to be wary of sodium intake.
I don't need anyone to add sugar or salt to my baked beans. I have those products available at home and can add either, to my taste. Beans in a tomato sauce with just herbs and onion would be great, which Clearspring nearly is. So 4.5 stars!

Best beans

Very tasty, better than the leading brand. Half a jar is enough for two people, but will keep in fridge for about 3 days.
