Strawberry Matcha Latte - Iced

Hello Strawberry Matcha Latte πβοΈπ΅ To celebrate the start of summer with a refreshing homemade twist to your Matcha latte - where Clearspring Matcha meets sweet seasonal strawberries for the ultimate sun-soaked sip πβ¨Β
Ingredients
- 1 tsp/2g Clearspring Premium Grade Matcha Green Tea Powder
- 60ml warm water - around 80 degrees
- 100ml cold plant milk - we used oat milk
- 2 tbsp strawberry syrup
To make the Strawberry Syrup
- handful of strawberries - cut to small piecesΒ
- 2 tbsp maple syrup
Tools
- Matcha bowl - a flat bottom bowl
- bamboo whisk
- bamboo spoon or 1 tsp spoon
Method
- Soak the bamboo whisk in warm water to soften the whisk area. Add 1tsp/ 2 chashaku Japanese bamboo spoon amount of Clearspring organic premium grade matcha to the matcha bowl. Pour 60ml warm water around 80 degrees. Take the soaked whisk and whisk in an M or W movement in the matcha bowl.
- Add the cooked strawberry syrup at the bottom of the serving glass. Place ice on top and pour cold plant milk of choice.
- Slowly pour the whisked matcha over the ice to create the layer of matcha in the glass. stir and enjoy in the sunshine.Β
To make the strawberry syrup - add fresh or frozen strawberry in a sauce pan, bring to heat and add maple syrup. Cook until you have a syrup/liquid consistency and leave to cool in the fridge. Save the rest for another time.Β
