Bland with no hint of ginger or any other flavour

**NOTE** Given the other reviews, it is possible that we had a faulty batch.

Great noodles, but the broth was totally without flavour, there was a barely discernible miso flavour, but not even the slightest hint of ginger. We prepared this exactly as instructed, using 800ml of water, as we had both portions, and served it with oven baked salmon and stir fried shiitake mushrooms and pak choi, with raw spring onions, nori & radish as a topping. If it wasn't for the pickled sushi ginger that we added in an attempt to retrieve it, and the lovely flavour of the salmon, we've had been worried that we'd lost our sense of taste!

This is the only ramen I've ever prepared where I've eaten the noodles, fish / meat and the veg, and poured the broth down the sink. I'd usually shamelessly slurp up the broth.

Plus it contains 4.8 g of salt per serving (1920 mg of sodium) which is close to the entire salt intake for an adult. Absolutely no idea how this product has managed to get an average of 4.3 stars on Ocado. Avoid.

Hi Hayley, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We're very sorry to hear about the experience you had. If you still have the packaging we would like to know the batch number so our Quality team can investigate, as this is the first review of this nature we've had for this product.

Regarding the salt per serving, we will pass on the feedback, but do note that salt plays an integral part in the production (more specifically the fermentation) of Miso and it is therefore a naturally salty product.

This will be the case with almost all misos (Sweet White Miso has less salt, but it is completely different to the dark savoury varieties, as the name suggests it is a lot sweeter due to less salt in the production process).

Hope this helps :)

Delicious!!

So easy and quick to make - delicious on its own, or better still with mushrooms and spring onions. Some times I also add sweetcorn.

Great flavour - healthier option for kids too

My teenage daughter loves these noodles. We added peas, spring onions and some finely ribboned chard leaves, and then some shredded chicken on top. For a kid that will probably live on noodles when she goes to Uni next year, getting her into the habit of using these as a base for something with some nutritional value is brilliant. They are so easy to cook, and the miso ginger flavour is gorgeous.

Great product, great service

My daughters love the ramen noodles, topping them up with fresh veg and wolfing them down! I am a little concerned at the salt content (which is probably part of why my children love them so much) and if that is ever able to be toned down then it would make them even better. They have tried other makes but these get the vote. The company were very prompt and even included a little gift in the delivery - a nice touch. Thank you. Will definitely re-order.
